I have been working in this music business for 20+ years, mostly helping new musicians grow their music careers from the ground up. I love finding talent and then making suggestions to help move your music career forward. This music/entertainment business has really changed so much in the last 10 years; the internet has changed our business and how you connect with your audience. Pushing to develop your audience takes A LOT of time and money that many musicians just don’t always possess. What we have to remember is this is art and we have to change with the times.
So, I work with musicians every day….consulting and teaching. I have developed full courses pertaining to Music Management, Budgeting, Releasing Music, Sponsorships/Grants and Touring. With this blog I am trying to connect with musicians who are willing to take the steps needed to make money with their music. Currently, I am doing networking and music events through our new business MusicBizMentors.com. My goal is to blog twice a month with the hope that some of these music tips strike a chord with your heart & business mind; please let me know what works for you!
If you have a question after reading one of my blogs, feel free to email me at MusicBizMentors@gmail.com. Please share any of our information with your music friends, and subscribe or sign up on our email list so we can send you other links, video tutorials or articles that can help advance your music career.
Starting this summer, we will adding SONG OF THE MONTH to this blog, to share a positive, uplifting song(s) for you to experience and share with others. If you want to submit a song, sign up on our mailing list and then send the song & a photo or graphics to our email at MusicBizMentors@gmail.com with the subject: SONG OF THE MONTH.
I am looking forward to connecting with you and hearing your music creations.
